“I had the opportunity to conduct a number of training home inspections with Ric. Ric’s approach and thoroughness is incredible. He truly has a systematic approach that ensures a complete and thorough job! Ric taught me more than any other inspector I worked with!”
— Rob Hogan #72401
“After completion of home inspection school, I originally chose a different company to do my parallels through. At the rate they were giving me inspections it felt like it would take forever to complete the process. I found Ric and what a difference that made in the process. Throughout each inspection he would quiz me about defects that we found and made sure that I knew why it was wrong, how to explain it to the client, and how to properly report on it. Ric also made sure that I would speak up if I had a question. We had a wide variety of houses that we inspected, some were easy and some had never ending deficiencies. After completing my parallels with Ric, he made sure to let me know that if I had any questions during an inspection to give him a call and he would help. Ric is an excellent teacher and inspector and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs to complete their parallels.”
— William Partridge #72395
“In my time with Ric I found he only lacks in one area…he has no irrational fear of snakes. I consider my crippling fear of snakes to be a very healthy and important ingredient for my continued breathing in and out, heart pumping and all the living and enjoying I, well, enjoy. Ric is a consummate professional, knowledgeable and very good at what we do, but more importantly, he is a very patient teacher that takes the parallel program very seriously. MOST importantly he’s just a really good guy. The fact that he happens to enjoy actually LOOKING for snakes, well, nobody’s perfect. I ended up doing 54 parallel inspections as 24 of my initial 30 were done with an inspector that had lost his credentials to parallel teach, but did anyway, wasting two months of my time and money. It was after that debacle when I was recommended Ric. When I am ready to hire, Ric will train my people.”
— Kevin Potter #73356
“Shortly after I completed the home inspection program and passed the national test, I started my parallels with a different company. After the first couple of inspections with them I also reached out to Ric to try and schedule more inspections since I was only able to do inspections during the afternoon because of my full time day job. I am sure glad I found Ric. Ric did everything possible to schedule late inspections to help facilitate my schedule and even set up Saturday and Sunday appointments in order to help me out. He is a very thorough and patient teacher that is very good at what he does. Ric is an excellent inspector and teacher who I highly recommend to anyone who is starting out with their parallels.”
— Carlos De Leon #76116
I was very fortunate that the first call to find a mentor for my parallels was someone who couldn’t do
the training himself but was trained by Ric. He highly recommended Ric and I agree 100%. Ric is very
adept, professional, and combined with his calm nature and patience he was the perfect fit. I did all 30
of my parallels with him and I do not regret that decision. He goes above and beyond to help wherever
he can and for my future employees I will also choose Ric to train them. Ric didn’t stop once the
parallels were done, he helped me set up everything and offered for me to call him whenever I’m not
sure about something or have questions in the future. He is an excellent teacher, mentor, and inspector.
— Sasa Markovic #79562
“When completing the state required 30 parallel inspections to get licensed, I did the first 10 with 4 different inspectors before finding Ric. I ended up finishing my parallels with him because of his patience as a teacher and his knowledge of home systems and components. He is very thorough at inspecting and taught me a routine I still use now on my own inspections. He also gave me a lot of tips for conducting the walkthrough with the clients, which the education hours and test does not prepare you for.”
— Ubaldo Torres #72417
“I highly recommend Ric for parallel training. Ric is very knowledgeable, patient and thorough when explaining his processes and approaches to being a good home inspector. Ric always encouraged me to ask questions and never made me feel silly about asking even something very basic. I feel extremely lucky to have had Ric as my mentor and trainer, as his one-on-one training with excellent explanations gave me the confidence, that I needed to be the great inspector I am today.”
— Jason Zaroslinski #72337
“I did parallels with several home inspectors before finding Ric at Voyager Home Inspections and I did not know how much I was missing out on until I did. Whereas other inspectors were happy to take my money and let me tag along on an inspection but teach me very little, Ric really is a teacher and a mentor as well. If you want to LEARN something on your parallels (specifically, how to be a GOOD and CONFIDENT home inspector), there is no one else to go to.
I recommend Ric 110%, not only is he one of the best inspectors in the business, he's a good and trustworthy man that I'm proud to call my friend. He will help you cultivate what is arguably an inspector's most important tool - confidence. 12/10, 6 out of 5 stars.”
— Danny Marks #73707
Up unto doing my parallel inspections I was a solo learner. I took the classes and the tests on my own, fighting to understand all the info that was thrown at me. This all changed when I meet Ric. Ric is super informative on parallels, he took ample time to explain everything he was looking for and why he was looking for it. He made all that information about inspections I had been swamped in make sense. He is not just an inspector but also a mentor as he was and still is available for any questions I have about home inspections/ applications and all other general information. I definitely recommend using Voyager Inspections.
— Timothy Blum #79081
“I had the distinct pleasure of doing my parallels and training with Ric. He’s Incredibly thorough, very professional, and a wonderful teacher. He is very knowledgeable, bringing many years and thousands of inspections of experience and knowledge to share. 5 Stars! I highly recommend Ric for parallels and/or training.”
— Mark Marzocco #72069
